Fill fan requests with tickets you hold
If you hold tickets, the usual way to sell them is to list a price and wait. On ParlayTix, fans tell you up front what they will pay. A fan who can't afford face value can name a price for a ticket if their pick hits. Holders and resellers look at that demand and decide which requests are worth filling.
What a fan request is
A request is an order for a card that doesn't exist yet. The fan chooses:
- the game and the question that decides it, such as "Who wins this game?"
- the answer they want, which is their pick
- a seat type, or any seat
- their offer for one ticket
The fan's offer is held in their balance. They're charged only when a holder fills the request. If no one fills it before it expires, the hold is released.
Fans can also place bids on cards that are already listed. Those bids are nonbinding, and no money is held for them. Requests are the funded side of demand.
What you see as a holder
The Tickets fans want page shows funded requests, grouped by event, question, answer and seat type. Within each answer, requests are ranked by the highest offer first, with the oldest first among equal offers. Rank shows where a request stands. It doesn't promise a fill.
How a fill works
Filling turns one ticket you hold into a pack: one card for each answer to the question. Here are the steps:
- Choose your verified ticket. Matching requests appear for its event and seat type.
- Pick the requests to fill. Each one you select sells a card to that fan at their offer.
- Keep or list the other cards. Cards that don't fill a request stay yours. You can hold them or list them at your own ask.
- Review and fill. The review separates the fans' offers, the platform fee and the amount that goes to your ParlayTix balance.
When you get paid
You're paid when you fill. That's the fans' agreed offers minus the platform fee, which is currently 10%, credited to your ParlayTix balance before the result is known. Your payment doesn't depend on which answer wins. The fill is the sale.
The result then decides who gets the seat:
- If an answer you sold wins, the fan holding that card gets the ticket.
- If an answer you kept wins, the ticket stays with you.
Leftover cards you list are still yours until someone buys them. A later sale pays you separately and isn't part of the fill payment. The screen says "You've been paid" only once the money has actually reached your balance.
Verification
A request can only be filled with a ticket that is verified and under your control. For holders, the flow is built around tickets you hold on XP (xp.tickets), our ticketing partner. The ticket's identity and your control of it are checked again at each step, through issuing the cards, handing them over and settling the result. If your ticket's seat type hasn't been verified, it can match Any seat requests only.
Where things stand today
ParlayTix is in early access. Fills are limited and reviewed one at a time while the marketplace gets going. The holder flow for verified XP tickets is built, and access is opening in stages. For now you may see "Holder fills are closed right now" on the fill page. You can still look at demand on any event and see what your ticket could earn.
Buy and fill
There is a third route for fans who also want to cover their own cost. A buyer can purchase a ticket, keep the answer they believe in, and fill other fans' requests for the remaining answers in the same checkout. The fans' offers, minus fees, lower what the buyer pays. If one of the sold answers wins, that fan gets the ticket. The review shows exactly what the buyer keeps, sells and pays before any payment.
Why fill requests
- You see real, funded demand before you commit a ticket.
- You're paid at the fill, not after the game.
- You choose which requests to take, and you can keep a card on the outcome you want.
